666 miles driven in the past 24 hours and feeling pretty exhausted. I think the expression, rolling eyeballs, may not be metaphorical after all.

It's always good to spend some time chilling out and relaxing on social media....but 5 hours 27 minutes so far for April on VR makes me wonder if that's a good or bad thing?

I enjoy what I do, and get well paid so I guess I hit it lucky..but the work is hard. I just need a little more time for me, but thinking ahead I am already tired of the thought of so much travel. Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Luton..seriously, I need one of those Google cars so I can chill out and maybe even sleep enroute to work or study for more exams coming up. Now wouldn't that be nice. Sleep sounds better ..

Ugh.. suddenly it got to be after midnight and I have to teach a class first thing tomorrow. I'm kinda excited though. Solar storm catapulted from the sun starts any time and that could mean a BIG AURORA tonight or tomorrow. Think I will sleep with the curtains open tonight..imagine awakening to a green and purple sky! Any night time sky watchers tonight or tomorrow night would be good for watching the Scottish cam in the Shetlands.

The gift of a gift

Scott. Scott Rodgers. A VR veteran, if you still ever peek in here please get in touch. I adore this poem you wrote December 2007, it touched me ywhen you gifted it In new year of 2008 a few weeks after the loss of one I loved. It was beautiful then, and just as much today.

The Gift

Come let me give you shelter from the storm.

And move the clouds that form in your eyes.

For if you look you can see,

The gift that is me,

Cause I am open and free

And desire to pull you in closer,

Looking into your eyes,

As I drink from your cup of passion.

Till it's dry

Leaving you feeling refreshed and complete,

Our minds become one,

So no need to run,

I’ll wipe your tear

While soothing your fear,

I am here for you my dear.

A very cross Emmy

Seriously, it is just a postcode lottery when it comes to health issues in the United Kingdom.. or, could it be more than that? Herceptin used for the treatment of breast cancer is available on the national health service in England, but not available here in Northern Ireland! This is outrageous!

A poor mother of 2 children cannot avail of a drug she so badly requires in order to sustain life. Shame,! shame! and true dishonor on your government policies ..who makes this God dam rule anyway, and decides who can be ill or die/live or not.

Same goes in most places. The right to choose treatment or not. And what treatment to get. It ussually fries down to.... the little guy don't have the right.

Which is sad.

Robin: The point I am making is that cancer drugs are available in England but a country who contributes to the wealth of that land is excluded. That is ridiculous. It's no wonder Northern Ireland has issues when England is so discriminatory. Now that poor lady, in order to get the drugs has to relocate to England.

It's a shame. Medicine need not be withheld from anyone for any reason.

I missed the live viewing but saw the archived video. Wow, absolutely incredible - wish I could have seen it in person. Thank you for that!

Glad you enjoyed the shows..living on the North West coast of Ireland the lights are a regular show during times of magnetic storms. Hit lucky, I guess.

Received my study books for my Associate studies in Environmental Management today. When I first seen how in depth the learning is my secret thoughts were to wise up , send it back.. and don't sign up for the programme!

Now I am debating.. if I pass I could add Environmental Management to my teaching repertoire. Time..it's all about time, as now I like to engage in voluntary work also and it will detract from that.

It seems there is little enough time for family and friends, and this so called 'quality' of life. I feel like just throwing the towel in on cpd.

Feeling the calls off the Tuscan hills after checking out monthly rentals in that location.

Mind you.. I could imagine myself in a cottage nestled there, pouring over my studies with a nice glass of fresh Chianti from the local vineyards. In fact my imagination could stretch to other things in that setting... Now, that's a plan for a month or two :)
